hi there!

i'm diane pizzuto

I’m a strategic design generalist currently focusing on digital product design. I’m from Philadelphia, but after a few years as a serial expat, I’m currently making a go of it in Stockholm.

When i’m not designing, you’ll most likely find me reading (books, ebooks, hundreds and hundreds of tabs), cooking (and eating), or in the water (outside, year round.)

what i've done (so far)

I trained as a graphic designer and worked, both independently and as an employee, on building small brands, editorial and publication design, event graphics, and websites.

As a freelancer, I worked with clients in the Philadelphia area, especially West Philly, on projects like the Lancaster Avenue Jazz Festival.

I spent several years at the Center for Cultural Media at Drexel University, where our team attempted to run a small publishing studio from within a large university, with varying degrees of success. The flagship publication, The Smart Set, is still publishing today. Other experiments included Table Matters, a food and drinks magazine; Art Attack, a local Philadelphia arts site funded by a Knight Foundation grant; and Smart Set Press, the first all-digital university press. I also helped to launch an alumni magazine for the Pennoni Honors College.

After moving abroad, I continued consulting with Drexel while building brands and websites and building out my UX skillset. In Hamburg, Germany, I worked with WorkGenius to help them through a brand transition and improve the user experience of their web apps.

Most recently, I was the UI/UX designer at Myrspoven, where I helped to successfully launch their first customer interface product.
